Bouldin, DeCesare Earn CUSA All-Conference Honors

DALLAS - Infielder Evan Bouldin and catcher Anthony DeCesare from the University of Delaware baseball program received Conference USA postseason honors, the league announced on Tuesday. Bouldin was selected to the second team and DeCesare was selected to the freshman team.

Bouldin, a senior infielder from Middletown, Delaware was the Fightin' Blue Hens best hitter during the 2026 season. He appeared and started in all 54 games, led the team in batting average (.330), on-base percentage (.424), slugging percentage (.558), OPS (.982), hits (68), doubles (15), multi-hit games (21), home runs (10), and RBIs (43). He was also tied for the team lead in walks (33), and stole seven bases. Amongst conference hitters, he was in the top 10 in batting average, OPS and hits.

DeCesare finished the season second on the team in batting average (.317), on-base percentage (.416), slugging (.510) OPS (.926) and home runs (seven). He was third on the team in RBIs (31). From March 28 through the end of the season, the catcher from Yorktown, New York was a key piece of the Blue Hens lineup. He batted .370/.434/.602 with seven home runs, 25 RBIs, 40 hits and reached base in 28 of 29 games during the stretch. He finished the season with an 11-game hitting streak, which was the third longest on the team.
