Ayeni, Evans-Shields Represented UD at First Round of NCAA Championships

LEXTINGTON, Ky. – Throws athletes Olamide Ayeni and Nubia Evans-Shields competed in the discus throw at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field East First Round on Saturday.
Ayeni's throw of 51.91 meters earned her 22nd place, while Evans-Shields throw of 47.26 meters landed her 42nd place. Click here to view the full results
At the Conference USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Ayeni won the discus throw with a mark of 55.10 meters. Evans-Sheilds earned a fourth-place finish at 51.56 meters. Those marks rank second and fourth all-time in program history.
