DALLAS – The University of Delaware women's golf team had a pair of student-athletes earn postseason honors on Thursday, when Conference USA (CUSA) announced its all-conference teams on Thursday. Junior Mary Grace Dunigan and freshman Rhianna Gooneratne were both named to the All-CUSA Third Team. The all-conference teams were selected by a vote of the league's head coaches.
Dunigan finished third on the Blue Hens with a 74.70 stroke average, playing in all 11 tournaments and 33 team rounds. The junior had a team-high 10 rounds at either even or under par and tied for the team lead with three top-10 finishes. Dunigan led Delaware to a runner-up finish at the Badger Invitational in the fall as she tied for third with a 7-under par 209, tying for the third-best 54-hole gross score in program history.
Gooneratne had a sensational first collegiate season, leading the Blue Hens with a 74.67 stroke average in 27 rounds played. Her stroke average ranks second in Delaware history for a freshman. She tied with Dunigan for the team lead with three top-10 finishes and finished with eight rounds at even or under par. Gooneratne claimed runner-up honors with a 1-over par 217 at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational to close out the fall, leading Delaware to a second-straight win at its home event.
The Blue Hens wrapped up a successful 2025-26 season, the program's first as a member of Conference USA, with a second-place finish at the CUSA Championship. Delaware won two team tournament titles, defending its title at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational and winning The Nashville Invitational, while recording three team runner-up and seven total top-five finishes.
