Volleyball Announces 2026 Schedule

NEWARK, Del. - The University of Delaware volleyball 2026 schedule has been released, head coach Kim Lambert announced Thursday. The Fightin' Blue Hens will play 26 regular season matches, including 12 at the Bob Carpenter Center.
Delaware opens the season in the Maroon and White Classic, facing Montana State and Marist on August 29 and host Lafayette on August 30. UD will play Lafayette for the first time since 2000. UD is 22-0 all-time against Lafayette in a series that dates back to 1981. The Blue Hens will then return to Newark to host the Blue Hen Invitational for its first home matches, beginning with Fordham on Sept. 4, before facing New Haven on Sept. 5. The matchup with New Haven will be the first between both programs. Delaware is back on the road from Sept. 10-12, where it will face Rider, Rutgers, and former CAA foe, Stony Brook. Against Rutgers, UD is 14-13 all-time against the Scarlet Knights, including winning its last three matchups.
UD's non-conference portion of the schedule concludes with hosting VCU on Sept. 17 and 18, another former CAA opponent. Delaware will play VCU for the first time since 2016 and for the first time at the Bob Carpenter Center since 2010, when both programs were members of the CAA. The Blue Hens remain home to wrap up September and begin CUSA play when they host Jacksonville State on Sept. 25 and 26, their first-ever match against the Gamecocks.
In October, Delaware has three road trips and two homestands, alternating each weekend. UD begins the month on the road against Middle Tennessee on Oct. 2 and 3 and has away matches against Sam Houston on Oct. 16 and 17 and NM State on Oct. 30 and 31. Its home matches for the month are on Oct. 9 and 10 against Kennesaw State and Oct. 23 and 24 against Missouri State.
Delaware begins November with its final two home matches of the season on Nov. 6 and 7 against FIU. The final matches of the regular season are Nov. 12 and 13Â on the road against Liberty. The CUSA Conference Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 20-22, hosted by WKU in Bowling Green, Ky.
