Stenner Named to 2026 Hermann Trophy Preseason Watchlist

LONG BEACH, Calif. — University of Delaware's men's soccer's Marius Stenner has been named to the 2026 Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy Preseason Watch List, the organization announced Wednesday.
The Hermann Trophy is presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club and is the nation's highest individual honor recognizing the National Player of the Year as determined by voting of Division I head coaches who are members of United Soccer Coaches. It is named in honor of the late Robert Hermann, the legendary St. Louis, Mo., businessman and soccer executive who founded the National Professional Soccer League, the first pro soccer league in the United States which became the North American Soccer League. He was inducted in the U.S. Soccer Hall of Fame in 2012.
Stenner is one of 27 NCAA Men's Division I college soccer played named to this list. He returns to Delaware after being named First Team All-Summit League. Last season he led the Summit League with shots (57), shots per game (3.35), shots on goal (26), points (31), and points per game (1.82), and tied for first in game-winning goals (4) and assists (9). Stenner also ranked eighth in the NCAA in points per game (1.82), 11th in assists per game (0.53) and total points (31), 12th in assists (9), 14th in shots per game (3.35), 16th in the NCAA in game-winning goals (4), 17th in goals per game (0.65), and 19th in shots on goal per game (1.53) and total goals (11).
He also was named to the 2026 Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy Positional Players to Watch for Forwards heading into this season.
The 2026 watch list was compiled by members of the Division I Men's All-America Council from a list of returning 2025 All-Americans and First Team All-Region players. A total of 15 players will be named 2026 Hermann Trophy semifinalists on December 4 at the conclusion of NCAA Division I All-American voting. From that list, head coaches will cast votes, and three players will be named finalists. The 2026 recipient will be announced January 8, 2027, in a ceremony at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in downtown St. Louis, Mo.
