Men's Soccer Ranked Fifth in West Region

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The University of Delaware men's soccer program is ranked in the first United Soccer Coaches Association regional poll, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The Fightin' Blue Hens enter this week's poll ranked fifth.
Last season, UD was in the USCA south region poll for eight weeks, ranking as high as third.
Delaware went 2-0-0 last week at home against Howard and Temple. Liam Penny scored for the Fightin' Blue Hens in their home opening win over Howard, and Freddy Jeffreys recorded a penalty kick goal in the team's win against Temple.
UD is joined by Summit League opponents UMKC (No. 3), UMass (No. 4), and Oral Roberts (No. 7) in the regional poll. Click here to view the national and regional poll.

The men's soccer program heads to Georgetown on Thursday, August 27 for a 7:30 p.m. non-conference game. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
