Monath Named to 2026 Hermann Trophy Players to Watch List for Midfielders

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of Delaware men's soccer's Rich Monath has been named one of the 2026 Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy Positional Players to Watch for Midfielders, United Soccer Coaches announced Friday.
Monath is one of 32 midfielders in the country to earn this preseason honor. He returns to Delaware after being named the 2025 Summit League Midfielder of the Year and earning First Team All-League. Last season he led the Fightin' Blue Hens, as well as the Summit League, with 12 goals which included back-to-back hat tricks against Neumann and Omaha, becoming only the second Summit League player to record two-consecutive three-goal games.
The MAC Hermann Trophy is presented annually to the Division I National Players of the Year as voted by Division I College Coaches at the end of the regular season. The 2026 recipients will be announced on January 8, 2027, in St. Louis, Mo.
