Field Hockey's Miller Wins MPSF Defensive Player of the Week

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - University of Delaware field hockey midfielder Avary Miller picked up her first-career Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Defensive Player of the Week laurel of the season for her performances in hard-fought contests against Villanova and #18 Monmouth, the conference announced Tuesday.

Miller stopped a shot in the 54th minute, with Delaware holding a one-goal lead, solidifying a ranked victory for the Fightin' Blue Hens in just her second-career game.Â

She helped Delaware to its first ranked win since 2023, and the first ranked win by an MPSF field hockey program.
