Men’s Basketball Announces 2026-27 Non-Conference Schedule

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's basketball program has released its non-conference schedule for the 2026-27 season, head coach Martin Ingelsby announced Tuesday. The Fightin' Blue Hens will play 14 out of league match ups and one exhibition prior to their 18-game Conference USA schedule. Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, September 8.
UD will travel to former Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) opponent, Towson, on Saturday, October 17 for an exhibition game. The Blue Hens and Tigers have met 95 times dating back to 1970.
Ingelsby's 11th season at Delaware will open at home against Notre Dame of Maryland (DIII) on Monday, November 2 with tip-off slated for 7:00 p.m. This will be the first competition between the Blue Hens and the Gators.
The Hens hit the road to Madison, Wis. to face their first Big Ten team of the year in Wisconsin on Friday, November 6. This will be the first meeting between the Blue Hens and Badgers in program history. UD's most recent contest against a Big Ten opponent was in 2018 when the Blue Hens fell short, 73-67, at Maryland.
Delaware returns home for three-straight games with James Madison on Wednesday, November 11 at 7:00 p.m., Colgate on Sunday, November 15 at 1:00 p.m., and Wilson College (DIII) on Tuesday, November 17 at 11:00 a.m. UD has won the last nine-of-ten match ups against JMU, is undefeated against Colgate (5-0), and will face Wilson for the first time in program history.
The Blue & Gold will fly out west on Friday, November 20 to complete the home-and-home from last season against California State University, Northridge (CSUN) at 3:00 p.m. PST, followed by its second Big Ten match up in UCLA on Sunday, November 22, for the first meeting between the two teams.
UD stays on the road to play at another previous CAA foe, Stony Brook, on Saturday, November 28. Delaware has a record of 5-2 over Stony Brook and won its last match up 80-76 in the 2024-25 season.
The Blue Hens will host Bucknell on Wednesday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m., Yale on Saturday, December 5 at 2:00 p.m., and William & Mary on Thursday, December 10 at 7:00 p.m. for its second three-home-game stretch of the season. This will be the 90th game UD has played against Bucknell, the sixth against Yale, and the 52nd against William & Mary.
Delaware's last two away games will be at Duquesne on Tuesday, December 15 and Bryant on Sunday, December 20 at 1:00 p.m. Duquesne and Delaware are tied 1-1 in their history, while UD has Bryant beat 2-1.
Non-conference play will conclude at home on Tuesday, December 29 against Georgian Court (DII) at 2:00 p.m.
