WASHINGTON, D.C. – The University of Delaware men's soccer team tied 0-0 with American on Tuesday afternoon on the road.
With the tie, the Fightin' Blue Hens overall record becomes 2-1-1 on the season.
HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- Eric Widrick made one save in goal for the Hens' third shutout of the season.
- The Blue Hens outshot the Eagles 12-4 and had 10 corner kicks to American's one.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freddy Jeffreys had a shot on goal in the first half in the 27th minute of play.
- Delaware's best chance of the game was a shot by Marius Stenner in the 81st minute.
- Widrick recorded one save in the second half to shutout the Eagles.
GAME NOTES
- Widrick recorded his third shutout of the season.
