NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware swimming & diving program has hired Adam Vance as the head diving coach, head coach Pablo Marmolejo announced Monday. He assumes the role beginning Monday, September 14, 2026.
"We're incredibly excited to welcome Adam to the Blue Hen family," Marmolejo said. "Throughout the process, he stood out because of his ability to connect with student-athletes, his technical knowledge and his clear vision for developing our diving program. Adam understands the championship expectations we have at Delaware, but he also cares deeply about the individual experience and growth of each athlete. I'm confident he will be a great addition to our staff and help take Delaware diving to another level."
"I'm honored to join the Blue Hen Swimming and Diving family and excited to build upon the program's tradition of excellence," Vance said. "I look forward to empowering our student-athletes to achieve their goals, both in and out of the pool, while continuing to elevate the legacy of Delaware Swimming & Diving. I'm eager to get started and represent the University of Delaware with pride."

The Pennsylvania native has also served as the Associate Director of Diving, Whirlwind Diving at the New Canaan YMCA since 2013. He led the club to three National Team Championships and has coached numerous high school all-Americans.
