BALTIMORE, Md. – The University of Delaware men's soccer team topped Loyola (Md.) 3-0 on the road on Tuesday evening.
With the win, the Fightin' Blue Hens overall record becomes 3-2-1 on the season.
HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- Frederik Flaskager recorded a first-half brace for his second and third-career goals.
- German Argueta put the Hens up by three with his first-collegiate goal in the 64th minute of play.
- Eric Widrick made two saves in his fourth shutout of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Flaskager scored in the ninth minute of the game off of an assist by Liam Penny.
- He then found the back of the net for a second time exactly 16 minutes later. Joe Richards and Freddy Jeffreys assisted this score.
- Jeffreys also assisted Argueta's second-half goal with 26 left to play.
GAME NOTES
- Flaskager becomes the first Hen to score multiple goals in one game this season.
- Delaware recorded its fourth shutout in six games so far this season.
UP NEXT
The men's soccer program returns home on Saturday, September 12 for a 7 p.m. match up with Mount St. Mary's. The game will be streamed on the Summit League Network.
