Member of Delaware team that tallied a 26-27 overall record with a 10-10 CAA record which was good for a fourth place finish in the conference • named to the CAA All-Rookie team • two-time CAA Rookie of the Week selection and named CAA Pitcher of the Week once • made 13 starts in his first season with the Hens and compiled a 5-5 record • tossed two complete games, struck out 46 and accrued a 5.35 ERA in 75.2 innings pitched • top performance of the season came in a complete game shutout against Fairfield on Mar. 16 • in the victory over the Stags, gave up two hits, did not allow a run, and recorded 13 strikeouts • five wins on the year was tied with Brandon Hinkle and Dan Gatto for most wins on the team.

Chad Anders Martin • son of Thomas and Maria Martin • born Jan. 2, 1994 • father is a nuclear engineering graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy • has two older brothers, Curtis and Craig • began playing baseball at the age of six • enjoys playing golf in his free time • chose UD because of the engineering program and the ability to continue to play baseball at the collegiate level • earned a civil engineering degree at Delaware in December, 2016.
