Chris Bresnahan enters his second season as Recruiting Coordinator and catching coach for the University of Delaware baseball program. In his first year with the Blue Hens, Bresnahan made an immediate impact on the program’s recruiting and player development efforts, helping to strengthen the roster with talented additions while furthering Delaware’s competitive growth into C-USA.Â
Bresnahan came to Newark after spending 10 seasons at UNC Asheville, where he served as the Bulldogs’ Recruiting Coordinator and was elevated to Associate Head Coach in 2022. During his tenure, he was instrumental in recruiting and developing some of the most decorated players in program history, including all-time home run leader Brandon Lankford (52 HR), all-time saves leader Kole Harris (17 saves), and 2024 Big South Preseason Player of the Year Robbie Burnett.Â
A New Jersey native, Bresnahan was a four-year letterwinner and team captain at Elon University, where he helped guide the Phoenix to two NCAA Regional appearances (2010, 2013). He capped his career by earning a spot on the 2013 Charlottesville All-Regional Team.Â
Bresnahan and his wife, Melissa, have a son, Cameron.Â
