Tyler Leach joined the Delaware baseball coaching staff in 2026 and will work primarily with the Blue Hens' catchers while also assisting with recruiting.

Leach returns to Delaware after spending two seasons as a player for the Blue Hens in 2023 and 2024. Following his first two collegiate seasons at High Point, Leach became Delaware's starting catcher during both of his seasons in Newark.

In 88 games with the Blue Hens, Leach hit .265 with 18 home runs, 67 RBI and a .500 slugging percentage. He recorded an .873 OPS and threw out 24 opposing base stealers. Leach was named a CAA Honorable Mention catcher following the 2024 season.

Following his playing career, Leach began his coaching career at his alma mater, the John Carroll School in Bel Air, Maryland. During the summer of 2026, he served as an assistant coach with the Olney Cropdusters of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League. Olney captured the league championship in 2026.

Leach earned his degree in Exercise Science from Delaware in 2024 before completing his MBA at Southern New Hampshire University in 2026.
