2014 SEASON
Appeared in all 22 games while starting 19 for the back-to-back CAA champion Blue Hens • finished year with four points on two goals • made first start of season against Pacific (Aug. 30) • four of five shots recorded were shots on goal • collected goal in loss to Hofstra (Oct. 26) • registered team’s lone goal in NCAA Tournament loss to Kent State (Nov. 12) • CAA Academic Honor Roll • National College Athlete Honor Society.
2013 SEASON
Made an immediate impact following a redshirt season • saw playing time in all 22 games in a year in which the Blue Hens collected a program-record 17 victories in 2013 in addition to earning both the CAA regular season and tournament championships en route to the fifth NCAA Tournament berth in school history • registered a career-best day against Michigan State on Sept. 15; tallied four points on two goals against the Spartans • scored first career goal in team’s 2-1 over Lafayette on Sept. 8 • dished out first career assist in home opening win vs. Central Michigan on Sept 6 • finished year with four goals and one assist for nine points • CAA Rookie of the Week for Sept. 17 • NFHCA National Academic Squad • voted Team Most Improved Player.

Three-year starter and two-time team Most Valuable Player at Marshall High School for head coach Christina Carroll • team went 14-5 her senior year • enjoyed her best season as a senior when she collected first team All-Liberty District, first team All-Northern Region, and second team All-State honors • earned all-district and all-region honors as a junior three-year starting guard in basketball • four-year starter in soccer as a forward and goalkeeper • three-time all-district selection who was team Most Valuable Player as a junior • competed at the National Futures Championships through USA Field Hockey and played club hockey with Capitol Pegasus • Optimist Club Award for Sports Excellence.

Madison McDowell "Maddie" O'Beirne (“oh-burn”) • daughter of Bill and Eileen O'Beirne • born November 1, 1993 • environmental studies major with a minor in geography • would like to go into teaching after college • father is a National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administrator and a Coastal Zone Management Specialist and mother is a family therapist • mother attended Drew University where she played field hockey and lacrosse • has an older brother and younger sister • interned at the Living Oceans Foundation during the summer of 2014 • enjoys movies, playing ultimate frisbee, reading, playing card games and dancing • was a model when she was age 10 • family owns six pets, including a ferret • loves shaved ice and recycling • worked with Environmental Outreach in teaching kids about saving energy and renewable energy in the summer of 2015 • dream job is to be an actress on Saturday Night Live.
