Brady Turnage joined the University of Delaware men’s lacrosse staff in July 2018. He assumes
the role of Director of Lacrosse Operations, the first in program history.
A 20-year veteran of the United States Navy, Turnage retired from active service just prior to his
arrival in Newark. His most recent assignment was as Commanding Officer of an attack
squadron flying the Boeing EA-18G Growler based out of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, WA.
He has deployed all over the world on most of the nation’s aircraft carriers and has flown over
100 combat sorties. Other assignments include various flying tours, and a three-year stint as a
flight instructor.
Prior to joining the Navy, Turnage graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU) in 1998.
He was a member of OWU’s 1995 national semi-finalist team. While he has coached at the
youth/club level, his position at the University of Delaware is his first assignment at the college
level.
Turnage and his wife Melissa are the proud parents of four children and the owners of a poorly
behaved chocolate lab.
