- scored a career high eight assists against Hampton (April 1), which tied the CAA record for most assists in a game
- earned first team All-CAA nods, and was a member of the 2023 CAA All-Tournament team
2022 SEASON
- Appeared and started in all 19 games
- finished first on the team in points with 72, second in assists with 32, and third in goals with 40
- collected 23 ground balls and caused two turnovers
- scored the game-winning goal with eight seconds left against Georgetown in the second round of the NCAA tournament (5/15)
- scored a career-high five goals against Robert Morris in the opening round of the NCAA tournament (5/8)
- recorded at least three goals in eight games
- notched a career-high four assists against Drexel (5/4) and Marist (3/11)
- received First Team All-CAA honors.
2021 SEASON
- Appeared in 11 games, while making two starts as a freshman
- compiled six points on two goals and four assists
- added six ground balls
- made collegiate debut in the season opener versus Mount St. Mary’s (2/17)
- scored a career-best two goals to pair with a career-high three ground balls opposite the Mountaineers
- dished out a career-best three assists in a road win at NJIT (2/20).

Personal:
- Born in Owings Mills, Maryland
- son of Lea and Peter Ward
- has one younger brother, Craig, who will attend Lynn University in 2023
- father was a captain of the lacrosse team at the University of Vermont and got his engineering degree in 1991
- Mother was an award-winning tennis at the University of Virginia
- Cousin George played for Delaware from 2018-2022 and his Uncle Rusty played at Delaware from 1987-1991 (Captain ‘91)
- Both JP and his father coach youth lacrosse in the summer with the Baltimore Crabs.
