Isabel Amezcua joined the University of Delaware women's golf program as an assistant coach in September 2025.
Amezcua joins the Blue Hens after spending the 2024-25 season as the director of operations for the men’s and women’s golf programs at her alma mater. With the Wolfpack, Amezcua assisted in hosting three home tournaments as the official in-charge. She was responsible for setting up team practices and drills while also analyzing player stats to make recommendations to the coaching staff.
Outside of collegiate golf, Amezcua interned with the Carolinas Golf Association during the summer of 2024, helping prepare and run tournaments throughout the summer while also serving as a rules official during tournament play. Since 2021, she has worked at the Sykes Golf Summer Camp in Raleigh, N.C., helping grow the sport through the youth levels through mentorship and golf instruction.
Amezcua enjoyed a successful four-year golf career at NC State as a student-athlete from 2020-24. She finished her career with the fifth-best career scoring average (74.87) and seventh-most career rounds played (106). Amezcua played in three NCAA Regional Championships and one NCAA Championship. She was a WGCA Scholar All-American (2021) and two-time All-ACC Academic Team (2023-24) recipient.
Originally from Mexico City, Mexico, Amezcua graduated from NC State with a bachelor's degree in communications in May 2024.
