John Lynch joined the University of Delaware men's and women's swimming and diving coaching staff in November, 2017.
Lynch comes to Delaware after a successful three years as the head diving coach and program director of the Tomahawk Diving Club. During his time in Northern Florida, Lynch coach a Florida state high school champion diver and mentored multiple Junior National Qualifiers.
Prior to his stop in Florida, Lynch served as the head diving coach at Boise State University from 2012-15. While at BSU, Lynch coached multiple Mountain West Conference medalists and sent divers to the NCAA Zone Qualifiers. Under his tutelage, the Broncos set three different Boise State school records.
Lynch also has served as an assistant coach for the Dutch National Diving Team (2008-11) and founded the Lonestar Diving Team in 2011.
A 2007 graduate of the University of Wyoming, Lynch earned his Bachelor of Sciences in Kinesiology and Health Promotion.
While at Wyoming, Lynch was a four-year letterwinner and made 12 championship final appearances, including a second place finish on the three-meter board at the 2007 Mountain West Conference Championships. He was as four-time NCAA Zone E Qualifier and earned five top 10 finishes. The Central California native was a three-time captain (2005-07) for the Cowboys.
