NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware Blue Hen field hockey team is always looking for ways to help develop and promote the sport of field hockey and once again this fall, head coach Rolf van de Kerkhof and his UD squad will be hosting a second Hockey Fun Play Day on Sunday, Oct. 14.
These clinics are designed for players who want to come out and enjoy a fun day of watching and playing field hockey. They are also a good way for young athletes to learn and experience what it is like to play at a level above high school and club field hockey.
The clinic will be open to girls in grade 6th through 12th and is set to be held on Sunday, Oct. 14, from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The cost for the clinic is $50 and it will run for approximately four hours.
At the Oct. 14 clinic, players will have the opportunity to begin the day by watching the University of Delaware field hockey team practice at Rullo Stadium. Immediately after the practice, clinic participants will play in a two-hour clinic that is instructed by UD players and coaches.
