Field Hockey's Rigual Named to 2026 United States U-21 Women's National Field Hockey Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo - University of Delaware field hockey junior Sarah Rigual has been named to the U-21 Women's National Team, USA Field Hockey announced Wednesday.

The squad will train at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from March 6 to 8, 2026, after which the final roster for the 2026 Junior Pan American Championships will be named. Top teams from the 2026 Junior Pan American Championships will qualify for the 2027 FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup.

Rigual, a Fredericksburg, Va. native, earned All-MPSF honors as a junior in 2025 as a key piece to Delaware's inaugural MPSF championship. In her career, she has played in 53 games for the Fightin' Blue Hens, tallying five goals and 11 assists. Rigual finished second in the conference this year with seven assists and was a team captain for the 2025 season.

The head coach of the U-21 USWNT, Ange Bradley, is a program alum and Hall of Famer who was in the cage, helping lead nationally-ranked teams to three East Coast Conference regular season titles under UD Hall of Fame head coach Mary Ann Hitchens.

After another training camp in May, selected members of the U-21 USWNT will compete in a 4 Nations Tournament from July 7 to 15 in England. Non-traveling members of the U21-USWNT will compete in the Senior Nexus Championship in Virginia Beach, Va.
