Field Hockey's Cellini, Clarke, and van Leeuwen Named NFHCA Scholars of Distinction

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo - University of Delaware field hockey had three student athletes; Ella Cellini, Katie Clarke, and Linde van Leeuwen earn NFHCA Scholar of Distinction status, the organization announced Friday.

This honor celebrates student-athletes who earned a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the fall 2025 semester and were nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.

van Leeuwen, a psychology major from Heemstede, Netherlands picked up her second-consecutive nomination to this list.

The three named to this list, are the most UD has had since the same amount earned the nod in 2022.

In the inaugural season of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation sponsoring field hockey, Delaware defeated UC Davis in the conference championship to claim its 13th conference title in the past 15 years and 17th overall.
