Freshman Meghan Winesett Picks Up Second CAA Rookie of the Week Honor

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware field hockey freshman Meghan Winesett (Centreville, Va.) has earned her second Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week award of the season, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Winesett collected the first game-winning goal of her career in Delaware's 3-2 non-conference victory over Columbia this past Sunday.
The forward is currently leads the team with six assists and is second with 18 points. Additionally, Winesett is tied for second with six goals.
Rolf van de KerkhofWinesett previously collected CAA Rookie of the Week honors for the week of Sept. 24.
Drexel's Jantien Gunter was named the CAA Player of the Week.
Delaware (10-4; 3-0 CAA) resumes CAA action this weekend as the Blue Hens travel to New England to take on Hofstra (Friday, 3 p.m.) and Northeastern (Sunday, 2 p.m.).
