University of Delaware Falls, 6-1, to James Madison in Regular Season Finale

Junior Dorothy Safron (at right) was the lone bright spot of the day for Delaware (11-5; 4-2 Colonial Athletic Association) as she picked up her fifth straight win of the season.
In No. 2 singles, Safron registered a 6-2, 6-3 victory against Jacqueline Palmucci. The win was the 17th of the season for Safron, who improved her career record to 47-31.
Fellow junior Olivia Heim narrowly missed a win in the fifth flight with the day's only three-set match in a loss to Cara Wirth, 5-7, 6-2, 10-4.
The Dukes (11-6; 4-3 CAA) took all three matches in doubles play for the team point.
The Colonial Athletic Association Tennis Championships will be held April 18-21 on the campus of William & Mary. Matchups for the tournament will be determined late Monday.
