Brandon Hinkle Selected for Cal Ripken League All-Star Team

ROCKVILLE, Md. -- With the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in the rear-view window, University of Delaware southpaw Brandon Hinkle will participate in his own midsummer classic today with the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League.
Hinkle, who recently completed his junior season with the Blue Hens, holds an ERA of 1.01 with a 2-0 record and three saves for the Baltimore Redbirds this summer.
The Lancaster, Pa. native will suit up for the North squad for tonight's 7:30 contest at Shirley Povich Field.
Batting practice for the game will take place from 2:45 to 4:45 p.m. and will be followed by a Home Run Derby from 5 to 6 p.m.
Tickets will be sold at the venue and range from $5.00-7.00. Children age six through 12 who wear their softball or baseball jersey will gain free admittance to the day's events.
