Freshman Esm?e Peet Tabbed Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware freshman Esmée Peet has started her field hockey career in a Blue Hens uniform in high fashion as she was named Tuesday as the Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week.
Peet, a midfielder from Zeewolde, The Netherlands, scored the first two goals of her career in Delaware's 4-2 win over Central Michigan on Friday.
Peet's first goal came in the third minute of play, with her second tally coming early in the second half to extend the team's lead to 3-0.
Rolf van de KerkhofFor the season, Peet has started all four games for the Hens (3-1) and has added an assist for five points and a shot on goal percentage of .471.
Drexel's Christina Conrad was named the CAA Player of the Week.
Delaware continues its four-game homestand Friday with a 7 p.m. contest against No. 11 Temple University at Rullo Stadium.
