Delaware Field Hockey to Host NCAA Play-In Game Against Kent State Wednesday at Fred P. Rullo Stadium

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Fresh off its second consecutive Colonial Athletic Association title, the University of Delaware field hockey team learned on the bus ride home it will host Kent State University in a NCAA Play-In Game Wednesday at Fred P. Rullo Stadium.
Game time has yet to be determined and is expected to be announced late Monday morning.
Rolf van de KerkhofThe Blue Hens (13-8) advanced to NCAA Tournament play after defeating James Madison, 2-1, earlier today in the CAA Championship final.
Kent State is 10-10 on the year and coming off of a 2-0 victory over Ohio to claim the Mid-American Conference Championship.
Delaware is 1-0 over the Flashes in series history, with the lone game coming during the 2007 season.
The winner of Wednesday's game will advance to play third-seeded and reigning NCAA Champion Connecticut (16-3) Saturday in Storrs, Conn.
