DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Association (ECAC) announced its 2014 Division I Field Hockey All-Star teams recently and University of Delaware sophomore Esmée Peet (Zeewolde, The Netherlands/RSG Slingerbos) was named to the second team for the second consecutive year.
The ECAC honors joined a long list for Peet this season, who was also named a National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) second team All-American and Colonial Athletic Association first team selection after leading the Blue Hens to their second straight CAA Tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance.
Peet finished second on the UD squad and sixth in the league with 27 points off 11 goals and five assists. The midfielder earned CAA All-Tournament honors after posting a goal in the finals against James Madison.
Last season, Peet joined junior Michaela Patzner (Rosenheim, Germany/Karolinen Gymnasium) in earning second team accolades.
In total, Delaware has had six players honored by the ECAC since 2004.
