Trio of Blue Hens Earn CAA Weekly Tennis Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Delaware men's and women's tennis teams have started the spring season on the right foot as three Blue Hens were honored Wednesday by the Colonial Athletic Association as its Players of the Week.
Senior Troy Beneck (Wilmington, Del.) earned men's tennis Player of the Week accolades while senior Olivia Heim (Gibsonia, Pa.) and sophomore Nataliya Naumova (Moscow, Russia) were tabbed the women's Doubles Team of the Week.
Adam LawtonPlaying together for the first time in their careers, Heim and Naumova are off to a 2-0 start for the UD women (1-1). The duo posted an 8-2 win over Howard's Umara Mughnee and Audra Bell, and followed with an 8-3 victory over Loyola's Haleigh Morgus and Emily Hughes.
William & Mary's Aaron Chaffee and Will Juggins earned the CAA men's Doubles Team of the Week while Tribe senior Maria Belaya collected CAA women's Player of the Week honors.
The Delaware men return to the court this Saturday as the Blue Hens host Saint Joseph's at the Elkton Indoor Tennis Courts at 6:30 p.m. The UD women next host Quinnipiac at Elkton Indoor Tennis at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22.
