Emmeline Oltmans Garners CAA Field Hockey Rookie of the Week Accolades

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware freshman Emmeline Oltmans (Baarn, The Netherlands/Het Baarnsch Lyceum) was honored Tuesday as the Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week.
With the recognition, Oltmans becomes the first two-time CAA weekly field hockey honoree after also earning Rookie of the Week accolades in Week 1.
Oltmans posted the first shutout of her career Friday as she led the Blue Hens (4-5) to a 3-0 victory over Villanova. In the win, Oltmans collected five saves in 66 minutes of action.
The goalie also registered six saves in Delaware's 2-1 overtime loss at No. 19 Old Dominion Sunday.
Oltmans currently ranks third in the league with 38 saves at an average of 4.22 per contest.
Drexel goalie Jantien Gunter earned CAA Player of the Week honors.
The Hens return to Fred P. Rullo Stadium this coming Sunday as Delaware hosts Fairfield at 1 p.m.
