NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware Athletics Multimedia department announced recently the hiring of alumna Nina Raspa as the multimedia coordinator.
“Nina is an extremely talented addition to the growing multimedia department here at Delaware,” commented Jimmy Smith, Assistant Athletics Director for Multimedia. “She will help us continue to generate a digital presence and further develop the Blue Hens brand in an effort to create a better fan experience. I'm excited to have her here and Blue Hens fans will notice her hard work.”
Raspa is no stranger to Blue Hens Athletics as the Sewell, N.J. native graduated from UD with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication in May. During her time as an undergrad, Raspa built a strong portfolio by spending two seasons as a multimedia student assistant under Smith's direction where she executed video projects, directed and produced live broadcasts, interviewed student-athletes and coaches and displayed a comprehensive knowledge of Final Cut Pro X and 7 and Adobe Premiere CS6.
“I couldn't have asked for a better opportunity than this,” exclaimed Raspa. “I get the chance to develop my skills while working for the coaches, student-athletes, teams and administration that I love. I am looking forward to my time here and continuing on as a Blue Hen.”
In addition to working for UD Athletics as a student, Raspa also served internships with the Philadelphia Flyers and Camden Riversharks.
While at Delaware, Raspa was a member of Lambda Pi Eta (communication honor society), Beta Sigma Circle of the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society, Student Television Network and Dean's List.
