UD Holds on to No. 15 NFHCA Ranking

CHANDLER, Ariz. – For the second consecutive week, the University of Delaware field hockey squad was ranked No. 15 in the most recent Penn Monto/NFHCA Coaches Poll.
The Blue Hens (11-4) received 324 points to remain in the 15th spot after falling in an overtime heartbreaker to No. 5 Virginia (12-3) this past Sunday.
The top five remained the same with Syracuse (15-0) leading the way with 961 points and 36 first place votes. UConn (15-0), North Carolina (13-1), Duke (11-4) and the Cavaliers follow in order.
Delaware has been ranked in the NFHCA Top 20 in each week since September 8 and reached as high as No. 12. The Blue Hens are also ranked No. 15 in this week's NCAA Field Hockey RPI.
The Blue Hens wrap up regular season home action this weekend by hosting CAA foe Towson Friday at 7 p.m. before taking on No. 12 Old Dominion at 1 p.m. Sunday.
