#rv/- DELAWARE “Blue Hens” (2-3, 1-1 CAA) vs. RHODE ISLAND “Rams” (0-5, 0-2 CAA)
Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 • 12 noon • Meade Stadium • Kingston, R.I.
The Blue Hens (2-3, 1-1 CAA) evened their league record Saturday thanks to a thrilling 24-23 come-from-behind win over No. 25 William & Mary at Delaware Stadium. Delaware rallied from a nine-point deficit in the final quarter to score the final 10 points of the game, including a 29-yard field goal by Frank Raggo on the final play of the game that clinched the win.
Delaware piled up a season-high 347 rushing yards against one of the CAA's stingiest run defenses as part of a 418-yard outing. Thomas Jefferson (174 yards) and Kareem Williams (106) each surpassed the 100-yard mark for the Blue Hens.
Rhode Island (0-5, 0-2 CAA), which finished last season with a 1-11 mark (1-7 CAA), will be looking to pick up its first win of the season as the Rams return home for the first time since Sept. 19. URI, coming off a 41-31 loss in its annual Governor's Cup battle with Brown Saturday, was outscored 123-17 in their first three games but is coming off a pair of 10-point setbacks.
Delaware leads the series 22-8 with three straight wins and seven victories in the last eight meetings, including a 28-13 victory last year at Delaware Stadium.
