Erika Brown nailed a 3-pointer to tie the game with nine seconds remaining, but Cayla McMorris was able to knock down an off-balance bank-shot to give Wisconsin the 54-52 decision over the Blue Hens in the first game of the San Diego State Thanksgiving Classic at Viejas Arena. Brown finished the contest with a game-high 22 points in addition to three rebounds and two assists. Sadé Chatman collected a team-best 10 rebounds to go along with six points and two assists while Makeda Nicholas earned her first start of the year and totaled three points and three blocked shots. Delaware (2-2) trailed, 31-20, at halftime and shot just 22 percent from the field before outscoring the Badgers (2-2), 18-5, in the third quarter. The two teams battled back and forth in the final stanza with five ties and two lead changes. Nicole Bauman guided UW with 17 points and five assists while Tessa Cichy posted 13 points and five rebounds. Michala Johnson added a double double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.

SERIES INFORMATION
· Sunday's matchup will be the first-ever meeting between the Blue Hens and Bison in women's basketball history.
· Maren Walseth (Penn State '02) is in her second season at the helm of the Bison. In her inaugural season at NDSU, she helped guide the Bison to an 11-17 overall record and a 7-9 Summit League mark. Walseth was a key member of the 2000 Penn State team that advanced to the Final Four and claimed the Big Ten conference championship.
