Former UD Standouts Hall, Dickson, Kormondy Selected in MLL Supplemental Draft

BOSTON -- Former University of Delaware men's lacrosse standouts Curtis Dickson and Jordan Hall, and recent Blue Hen graduate Brian Kormondy were selected in the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Supplemental Draft held Wednesday.
The Supplemental Draft is designed to strengthen teams' rosters from 23 to 35 players. The league will begin regular season play Apr. 23 and conclude with the championhip game on Aug. 20. Teams competing during the 2016 season will be the Boston Cannons, Charlotte Hounds, Chesapeake Bayhawks, Denver Outlaws, Florida Launch, New York Lizards, Ohio Machine, and Rochester Rattlers.
Hall, a two-time All-American as a midfielder for Delaware in 2004-07, was selected in the the second round with the 18th overall pick by New York; Kormondy, who closed out his career last spring with the Blue Hens, was a sixth round pick and 50th overall by Denver; and Dickson, a two-time All-American attackman and 2010 Tewaaraton Trophy finalist for UD, was a ninth round pick and 80th overall by Rochester. Overall, 130 players were selected in the 16 rounds.
Kormondy, a native of Highland Ranch, Colo. (Mullen HS), earned first team All-Colonial Athletic Association honors for the second time in 2015 when he ranked second on the team in goals scored (22) and points scored (36). He was originally selected by the Ohio Machine in the sixth round of the MLL Draft held last January.
Hall is an eight-year veteran of MLL, last played in the league in 2014 when he scored 11 goals in 10 games for Florida. During his career MLL career, he has played in 68 games and scored 86 goals.
Dickson is a two-year veteran of the MLL and scored 11 goals in five games with Denver in 2014.
