Shuren and Naumova Named CAA Doubles Team of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Freshman Arielle Shuren (Montebello, N.Y./Suffern) and junior Nataliya Naumova (Moscow, Russia/Moscow 98 School No. 1953) were recognized Thursday as the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week.
Shuren and Naumova edged Villanova's Tori Smyth and Paulina Bajet, 8-7 (7-4) at No. 1 doubles to clinch the critical doubles point in Delaware's 4-3 victory over Villanova.
With the win, the duo improved to 3-1 on the year as the Blue Hens also upped their team record to 3-1.
Shuren also won her match over Smyth, 6-1, 6-3, in top-flight singles.
William & Mary junior Leeza Nemchinov was named the CAA Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
UD returns to action by hosting UMBC on Saturday, February 28 at Elkton Indoor Tennis. The match begins at approximately 6:30 p.m.
