Delaware Softball Alters Weekend Schedule, Now Headed To UNCW Spring Classic

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware softball team has altered its schedule for this weekend and will now head to Wilmington, N.C. to play five games in the Seahawk Softball Spring Classic.
The Blue Hens had been scheduled to participate in the Norfolk State Spartan Clash on Saturday and Sunday, but due to expected inclement weather in the Norfolk Area, Delaware will now travel to UNCW's Boseman Field for the weekend.
Delaware will take on Marist on Friday at 10 a.m., before facing Western Carolina at 5:30 p.m. that day. The Blue Hens will battle North Carolina A&T on Saturday at 9:30 a.m., and will again face the Catamounts at 5 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
Jessica Grisler leads the Blue Hens (5-5) with a .472 batting average, 17 hits and 12 runs scored on the young season, while Mariah Kondravy is hitting .406 with team-highs of four doubles, two homers and 11 RBI.
