Blue Hens Win Eight Events, Capture Team Title at Ursinus/Coldren Inv.

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. -- The University of Delaware women's indoor track & field squad dominated the action Saturday afternoon at the Frank Coldren Invitational as the Blue Hens captured eight first place finishes and won the team title.
Delaware posted 207.66 total points to easily outdistance runnerup Lebanon Valley in the 12-team field to lead the way at Ursinus College's Floy Lewis Bakes Center.
Freshman Tyra Reid won the 400 meter dash with a time of 58.08 and then teamed with Breanna Nicholson, Kelley Donovan, and Carolyn Darr to win the 4 x 400 meter relay with a clocking of 3:53.89.
Also posting victories for the Blue Hens were Latazah Coleman in the 60 meters (7.72), Katrina Steenkamer in the 3,000 meters (10:46.35), Leslie Ope in the 60 meter hurdles (9.18), Miranda Reinson in the pole vault (11-5.75), Sarah Hillman in the shot put (42-8), and Hannah Pepper in the pentathlon (3,171 points).
Delaware will return to action Feb. 22 at the Princeton Invitational.
