Delaware Baseball Giving Back to the Community

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware baseball team will begin its 2015 season Friday, but while the Blue Hens have not been on the diamond, they have been active in the community.
Linked is a photo gallery showing members of the UD baseball team volunteering their time to help with the preparations for two separate Maryland Food Bank distribution events.
The players helped with events that were held on Jan. 22 at Bay View Elementary School and on Feb. 5 at North East Elementary School, both located in North East, Md. The two schools have a partnership with the Maryland Food Bank and provide food on a monthly basis for families in the community.
Delaware will kickoff the 2015 campaign Friday with a doubleheader with Georgetown and Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, N.C.
