The road to a third CAA title continues for Delaware as the Blue Hens held on for a 73-61 victory over Northeastern in Thursday's Opening Round action at the Show Place Arena. Courtni Green registered a team-best 22 points in addition to collecting six rebounds, five assists and three steals in 39 minutes of play. Joy Caracciolo added her eighth career double double with 13 points and 10 rebounds while Hannah Jardine and Erika Brown tallied 14 and 12 points, respectively. Delaware (14-16) led for the majority of the contest but the Huskies (4-25) threatened midway through the second half. Northeastern tied things at 47-47 before the Hens went up by as much as 11. UD finished the game on a 7-2 run, including five free throws, to move on to Friday's quarterfinals contest against Drexel. Samantha DeFreese paced the Huskies with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
