Tim Puterio Rallies for Second Straight Victory; Hens Fall at Bethune-Cookman

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Junior Tim Puterio (Kingston, R.I./South Kingstown) registered his second consecutive win Monday evening for the University of Delaware men's tennis team, but host Bethune-Cookman came out on top with a 6-1 victory against the Hens.
Puterio rallied for a 4-6, 6-2, 10-8 decision against Kevin Deligny in No. 4 singles.
Freshman Matt Renzi (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon) also had a three-set match in No. 2 singles, but B-CU's Gilbert Rotich pulled ahead for the 3-6, 6-3, 11-9 verdict.
In doubles action, the Hens did not collect the team point, but did receive an 8-7 (7-2) win from Renzi and sophomore Tyler Flematti (Kingwood, Texas/Kingwood) in the second flight.
With the loss, Delaware falls to 0-13 on the year while the Wildcats improved to 12-11 overall.
