Delaware Postpones Games vs. Rider, Alters Weekend Schedule

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware baseball team has postponed its matchups against Rider that were originally scheduled to be played this Thursday and Friday (March 5-6) and has changed its weekend schedule due to impending bad weather in the Newark area.
The Blue Hens (2-3) will now make their home debut Saturday, March 7, with a doubleheader vs. Lafayette beginning at 12 p.m. at Bob Hannah Stadium.
On Sunday, March 8, Bob Hannah Stadium will host site for three games as UD plays Lafayette (1-3) at 10 a.m. in the first game. The second contest of the day will match the Leopards and Rider (2-5) at 1 p.m., and the final game of the day will pit Delaware vs. Rider.
The Blue Hens will then play a doubleheader Monday, March 9, with the Broncs. The first game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. with the second game expected to start at approximately 4 p.m.
