Congdon Tallies 17th Place Finish in 3-Meter Event at NCAA Zone A Diving Meet

BUFFALO, N.Y. – On the first day of competition at the 2015 NCAA Zone A Diving Meet at the University of Buffalo, University of Delaware junior Kristina Congdon qualified for the 3-meter finals and recorded a 17th place finish.
Congdon (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) was in 15th place after the preliminaries with a score of 275.20. The junior, who finished in 38th place in the event last season, then accrued 264.90 points in the final to give herself a total 540.10, which was good for a 17th place overall finish.

The competition continues tomorrow on one meter where both Blue Hen divers will find themselves quite evenly matched degree of difficulty."Caitlin Stockwell (San Jose, Calif./Presentation) also competed in the 3-meter event Monday. The junior finished in 45th with a total of 220.75 and had an average score per round of 36.79.
Virginia Tech's Kelli Stockton won the event with a point total of 663.25. Taryn Urbanus of UConn finished in second, while Rachel Eckert of Old Dominion came in third.
The event will continue tomorrow with the men's 3-meter and women's 1-meter competition.
