Delaware Dismisses Softball Head Coach Jaime Wohlbach; John Seneca Named Interim Coach

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware announced today that head softball coach Jaime Wohlbach has been dismissed from her position effective immediately. Assistant coach John Seneca will serve as the program's interim head coach for the remainder of the season. A national search for a permanent successor will commence at that time.
Seneca is currently in his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Delaware softball team. He previously served as head coach of the Allentown (Pa.) Patriettes from 2006-2011, leading the squad to a 201-36 record while competing in the Amateur Softball Association (ASA), PONY, and U.S. Speciality Sports Association (USSSA) regional and national tournaments.
He also was the head coach at Saucon Valley High School (Hellertown, Pa.) in 2006-09, guiding the team to a 68-28 record.
