Delaware Gears up for Spring Competition Weekend

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware field hockey team will be one of five teams competing this Saturday as a part of the program's spring tournament at Rullo Stadium.
The Blue Hens will welcome Cornell, La Salle and Temple in addition to a Delaware alumni team for play from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Rolf van de KerkhofFollowing the afternoon's games, the Hens will host their annual team banquet. During the event, the squad will look back to the season and team members will receive their CAA Championship rings.
In addition to this weekend's matches, Delaware will also host the 2014 NCAA Division II National Champion Millersville University on April 17 at 6:30 p.m. before facing the Blue Hens alumni team at 11:30 a.m. on May 2.
“The spring is a great time for our team to welcome back our alumni,” Van de Kerkhof commented. “As a program, we are looking forward to further engaging and celebrating the people and teams that also represent Blue Hens pride.”
