NEWARK, Del. – Blue Hen alumni and current National Football League players Mike Adams and Gino Gradkowski participated in the final day of the Delaware Youth Football Camp on Friday inside Delaware Stadium.
Both former Blue Hens were active participants in the scrimmage portion of the day, before Adams spoke to the campers and then took questions.
Adams, a member of the 2003 UD national championship squad, has played 11 years in the NFL and competed in the 2014 Super Bowl as a member of the Denver Broncos. Last year Adams earned his first Pro Bowl selection after starting all 16 games and making five interceptions for the Indianapolis Colts.
Gradkowski, currently a member of the Denver Broncos, was a fourth round pick by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2012 NFL Draft and earned a Super Bowl ring with the squad in February, 2013.
Earlier in the week former Blue Hen quarterback Pat Devlin and tight end Nick Boyle also participated in the camp. Boyle was selected by Baltimore in the fifth round of this April's NFL Draft.
“I always love coming back to Delaware,” Adams said. “I'll do anything for the kids, and I always enjoy seeing former teammates that I played with here.”
