Delaware Softball Announces 2015 Fall Exhibition Schedule

The Blue Hens will open their fall slate on Saturday, Sept. 19 with a 12 noon game at Villanova with a 2:30 p.m. contest to follow against Delaware State. The following Saturday, Sept. 26, UD heads to College Park, Md. for a 12 noon twinbill with the Terrapins.
On Saturday, Oct. 10, Delaware will take on Mount St. Mary's at 12 noon and Sheppard University at 2:30 p.m. in Emmitsburg, Md. The Blue Hens then wrap up their fall campaign on Sunday, Oct. 18 with a 12 noon doubleheader against Wilmington University at the UD Softball Stadium.
The Blue Hens finished 30-23 overall and 6-14 in the Colonial Athletic Association a year ago, setting UD single season records in runs scored, RBI, doubles and home runs. Delaware returns seven starters from the 2015 season including first team All-Northeast Region selection Mariah Kondravy, who belted a school record 15 home runs as a freshman.
Classmate Leanna Gearhart, a shortstop who joined Kondravy on the CAA All-Rookie Team, also returns after tying for the Division I lead with 11 triples in the spring. Carolyn Szymanski, who went 17-13 with a 2.93 earned run average in the circle, is also back to pace the UD pitching staff.
