RICHMOND, Va. – A stellar sophomore campaign continues for Blue Hens midfielder Greta Nauck (Krefeld, Germany/Gymnasium am Moltekeplatz), who was named Tuesday as the CAA Player of the Week.
Nauck tallied three goals and two assists for eight points in wins over Michigan and Hofstra this past weekend.
She currently ranks tied for fourth nationally with 1.21 goals and 2.93 points per game.
Nauck has cruised past her point and goal totals from a year ago, where she posted 27 points (11g, 5a) with 70 shots in 22 games during her freshman year in which she was named a Regional All-American. Through 14 games this season, she has registered a team-best and CAA-leading 41 points (17g, 7a) on 77 shots.
In just her second year at Delaware, Nauck is tied for 19th in program history with 68 career points (28g, 13a).
James Madison's Florien Sondern garnered CAA Rookie of the Week accolades.
The No. 8 Blue Hens play just one contest this weekend as Delaware hosts Penn at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Fred P. Rullo Stadium. Admission to all UD home field hockey games is free and open to the public.
