Delaware registered its 10th win of the season Saturday evening as the Blue Hens came from behind to defeat Elon, 3-2, at Rudd Field. Guillermo Delgado continues to re-write the program record books as he finished the game with a goal and assist and is now Delaware's all-time assists record holder with 19 career helpers. He also inched closer to Mike Biggs' program record 47 career goals and now sits with 46 for his four-year career in a Blue Hens uniform. Marco Siverio added a career-best three points on a goal and assist of his own while Thomas de Villardi also registered a goal in the win. Todd Morton split time between the pipes with Paul DeFeo, who made his first appearance for the Blue Hens this season. Morton allowed two goals with a save while DeFeo held Elon scoreless while posting a save.
· Delaware has reached the 10-win mark for the fourth straight season and fifth time in the last six years.
· The Blue Hens have never before faced a No. 1 opponent in Delaware men's soccer history.
· With an assist at Elon, Jaime Martinez moved into a tie for sixth all-time in program history alongside former teammate Joe Dipre (2012-15) with 15 career assists.
· Also at Elon, Delaware was outshot for just the third time this season and for the second straight game as Elon recorded 10 shots to UD's nine.
· Guillermo Delgado holds 46 career goals and is just one behind Mike Biggs' program record 47 set from 1968-70. The three-time All-American is currently the NCAA's active career leader with 110 points and 46 goals.
· Ben Sampson was named as a candidate for the Men's Soccer Senior CLASS Award.
· UD has outshot opponents, 220-146, this year.
· Delaware is currently second in the CAA with 15 points.
· Guillermo Delgado, Thomas de Villardi and Thibault Philippe garnered Preseason All-CAA accolades.
· Guillermo Delgado, a three-time All-American, was one of 28 men nationally named MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List.

SERIES INFORMATION 💪
· Delaware is 1-4-0 all-time against Maryland since the first meeting in 1938.
· Last season, the Blue Hens pulled out the upset over the No. 20 Terps, 2-1, in College Park.
· Thomas de Villardi and Ben Sampson each tallied goals while Todd Morton collected four saves in the win.
· Prior to last season, the two teams had matched up in four consecutive seasons from 1938-41 and had not met since outside of exhibition contests. Chibsah Faisal '11 (volunteer director of operations) each begin their second year on the coaching staff.
· Upon his arrival in College Park in 1993, Sasho Cirovski (Milwaukee '85) has transformed Maryland into a national soccer power by leading the Terps to two NCAA titles, seven College Cup appearances, 13 conference titles and 21 total trips to the NCAA Tournament. Now in his 24th season, Cirovski has guided UM to 23 straight winning seasons and an overall record of 359-131-45 (.713).
ABOUT NO. 1 MARYLAND
The No. 1 Terps defeated Hofstra, 2-1, Friday night at Ludwig Field to stay unbeaten and move to 13-0-2 on the year. Senior Alex Crognale celebrated Senior Night in resounding fashion with two goals in the win. The reigning Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week has six goals this season. Senior Cody Niedermeier made five saves to lead the Terps defensively. Maryland is outscoring foes, 36-11, while the Terps continue to dominate the Big Ten statistics. Sophomore Gordon Wild leads all players in the Big Ten with 11 goals and sophomore Amar Sejdic paces the conference in assists with seven. The Terps are tops in both categories as a team. Maryland's winning streak now sits at 10 games, its longest stretch since the 2012 campaign when the Terps won 13 straight. The Terps have not lost since falling to Ohio State in Columbus on Oct. 31, 2015 – a stretch of 20-straight matches.
